Chronicle is growing quickly and expanding in all departments. Outside of our Silicon Valley headquarters, we have satellite offices in Raleigh-Durham, N.C., and Boulder, Colorado, and of course the VirusTotal team has an ever-growing presence in Málaga, Spain. And now, we’re happy to announce that we’re opening an engineering center in Chicago that we expect will grow significantly in coming months, eventually becoming the largest Chronicle office outside Silicon Valley. Chronicle Chicago, located in the Fulton Market area, will work with the incredible local engineering community and universities to become a major hub for our R&D organization.
With great culture, leading universities, and an excellent quality of life, Chicago is an attractive city for people looking to begin or expand a career tackling hard computer science problems. Will Robinson, Chronicle’s CTO and former head of Google Chicago, spent years in the area and found it to be well-suited to building a world-class engineering organization. Chicago native and long-time Google engineering lead James Megquier is joining Chronicle to head up the Chronicle Chicago office. We’ll be looking to hire computer scientists who are eager to learn new skills and have strong problem solving skills. While having cybersecurity expertise is a plus, it’s not a requirement. Be sure to check out our open listings and keep an eye out for recruiting events in the area.
